Ideally, I check my inbox Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays!
But! If you need to get hold of me quickly, you can always nudge me on Instagram.
And have no fear, I usually see every email come through as they’re sent. I see you, I’m just very deliberate with how I use my limited time for various projects.

I prefer working with Word documents, but I am happy to make accommodations when needed.
Please format your Word Document in standard North American formatting. For example, your manuscript should be font size 12, Times New Roman, and double-spaced. If your manuscript, first chapter, or query letter isn’t appropriately formatted, don’t worry! I’ll fix it up for you. (Query letters should be submitted to agents single spaced [I request double spaced for my poor eyes!]).

For large-scale edits like manuscript critiques, line edits, and developmental edits, I do offer editing samples! Please feel free to send me the first 1000 words of your manuscript, and I’ll happily supply a sample edit.

Canadian clients please contact me for Canadian pricing! This is a Canadian business and I’m thrilled to support Canadian writers in any way I can!

The length to complete any project entirely depends on the length of your document and the type of editing your content needs. Since I work in-house full-time during the week, I freelance mainly on the weekends (and in the evenings when required). For larger projects, the timeframe will be drawn from the scope of your edit and the sample provided.

While I am one human and there is no way to guarantee 100% accuracy or a book deal, I will try my absolute best to catch the industry standard of 80%-90% and help you stand out in the slush pile.
I can say with utmost confidence that some of my clients have gone on to obtain agents, self-publish their books, and find homes at traditional publishing houses.

I’ve been freelancing for nearly five years, and I’ve been working in-house for three.
